Neurodiversity is becoming a more widely discussed topic in the media. This session, taking lived experiences and mixing them with research and clinical understandings, explores this diverse topic and gives counsellors the opportunity to consider how to adopt neurodivergent-friendly practices.

Testing School: Exploring the Education System from the Counselling Room

Some children in school seem to have a harder time of everything than others. This session focuses on what we can learn from the children who are struggling, what challenges are facing the system that they exist in and how we, as counsellors, can help them both.

Supporting and Allying LGBTQ+ People

The world can feel distressing for LGBTQ+ people in a way that heteronormative people cannot understand. This session, created through combining research, writings and lived experiences, aims to create awareness and appreciation for our LGBTQ+ clients to demonstrate that we are safe and welcoming.

TikTok Gave my Kid ADHD: The Domination of Social Media on Children

More and more we hear of people self-diagnosing based of content they have accessed on social media. This session considers what these experiences are actually saying, what we can take from them and how we can use it in our practice.
